Apes & Large-scale Development Projects

Below is a database of large-scale development projects within ape habitat that have contacted the ARRC Task Force for advice. In some cases, although the ARRC Task Force has not been approached for advice, it will take a position on large-scale development projects occurring within ape habitat. These position statements can be found here. 

Engagement Status

Engaged: ARRC decided to officially engage with the projects and is actively engaged and providing input.
Not Engaged: ARRC declined to engage with the project and therefore the project is unable to follow IFC Performance Standard 6.
Engagement Under Review: ARRC is considering engagement but has not officially decided to engage or not with the project.
Engagement Discontinued: ARRC initially engaged with the project, but decided to end the engagement due to lack of adherence to best practices and/or not incorporating ARRC’s advice.
Engagement Completed: ARRC officially engaged with the project and the terms of the engagement were fulfilled.
